Installing DHI

Installing DHI Portable:

You can install the software on your own USB flash drive or hard drive by following the instructions below.

1) If you previously installed the software, navigate to the DHI folder and double-click Uninstall.exe to uninstall the software. Note that this will not delete the Data folder.
2) Click to download the installer for DrivingHealth Inventory.
3) After the download completes, locate the file and double-click on it to start the installation.
4) Press the "Portable" button.
5) Follow the installer instructions carefully. Make sure the install destination is set to the correct drive letter.
6) If you are installing to the hard drive, you way want to put shortcuts on the Desktop and/or Start Menu for launching DHI. To install shortcuts, check the box next the Desktop and/or Start Menu shortcuts in the installer. Shortcuts don't work as well with USB flash drives because the drive letter can change.
7) After the installer finishes copying files to your drive, launch the software.
8) When the program starts, enter your PayPal email [Note: If you didn't use PayPal to purchase your software, type in the license identification provided to you) and then press the "Activate" button to activate the hardware.
9) If successful, you will then be asked to enter the PayPal email again to activate the software. Enter the PayPal email or license identification as before and press the "Activate" button. Installation and activation of the software is now complete.

You can continue with calibration and screening or, if you prefer, exit the program by holding down the left and right mouse buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds and then pressing the button labeled "Click here to CANCEL ALL DHI TESTS."

To launch the software installed on a hard drive, click on the Desktop shortcut. If you did not check the option to create shortcuts during installation, navigate to the DHI folder and double-click the StartDHI.exe file.

To launch the software installed on a USB flash drive, open the USB flash drive and double-click on the "Start DrivingHealth Inventory" file or double-click on the StartDHI.EXE file in the DHI folder.

Installing DHI Online:

The DHI Online version can be installed using these instructions:

1) Click to download the installer for DrivingHealth Inventory.
2) After the download completes, locate the file and double-click on it to start the installation.
3) Press the "Online" button to install the online version.
4) Follow the installer instructions carefully. Make sure the install destination is set to your desired destination (default= C:\). You can install the software onto a flash drive if desired, but please note that the DHI Online version will not work on computers that don't have an Internet connection.
5) If you are installing to the hard drive, you way want to put shortcuts on the Desktop and/or Start Menu for launching DHI. To install shortcuts, check the box next the Desktop and/or Start Menu shortcuts in the installer.
6) After the installer finishes copying files to your drive, you can launch the software.
7) Every time you launch the software, you will have to type in your PayPal email address (or your license ID if you didn't use PayPal).

After installation, you will launch the software using the shortcut on the Desktop or by double-clicking on the StartDHI.exe file in the DHI folder.
