Using the Print Screen button

Postby dhionix_admin » Tue Mar 29, 2011 7:36 am

Many times something will be displayed on the screen that is difficult to describe in an email. In these cases, it might be easier to use the Print Screen button on your keyboard and email the image. Here's how:

1) Close or minimize any windows that might be on top of what you want to capture.
2) Press the key labeled "Print Screen" (or sometimes "Prt Scrn"). It is usually located near the upper right corner of the keyboard (it is usually the leftmost key in a cluster of 3 keys including "Scroll Lock" and "Pause/Break" keys).
3) Close DrivingHealth Inventory if it is open by holding down the left & right mouse buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds and then selecting "Click here to CANCEL ALL DHI TESTS."
3) Open up Paint by selecting the button in the lower left corner of the Desktop (Windows icon plus "start" on XP and just the Windows icon on Vista/7) then select "All Programs" then select "Accessories" then select "Paint".
4) When Paint opens, press Ctrl-V (i.e., hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the V key) to paste the image into Paint.
5) Save the image as a jpg and email it as an attachment to businessmanager@drivinghealth.com
